Isthmus Montessori Academy Elementary Program

The work of the students in the Elementary Class is an integrated study of many subjects: geography, history, biology, language, mathematics, geometry, music, art and physical education all aiding the development of the power to reason. The “Going Out” program marks the point of arrival in the research work of the elementary students.

This level includes children between the ages of six to around the age of 12.

Children may enter this level when they have fully reached the “Second Plane” of development, which usually occurs around the age of six. Some children may express readiness earlier than six and others may be closer to seven.

IMAP’s Elementary Program is publicly funded by our charter school.
